Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations when using a pre-made insecticide or preventative on your plants. Like many other insects, Scale bugs have become increasingly poison resistant, while the toxins of the chemical insecticides are having an ill effect on good insects and animals that come into contact with it. A Note About Insecticides and Pesticides Pesticides and insecticides should be used with caution and only when necessary, because they will likely kill beneficial insects and the pest attacking your yucca.
